Role Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic Paid Media | Digital Lead (Performance) with over 5 years of experience in platform campaign management at a senior level. This individual will lead by example, managing a portfolio of campaigns while mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients, presenting strategies, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Language Requirement: Fluent in Afrikaans
Salary: R50,000 – R55,000


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute innovative, data-driven digital media strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members to elevate overall team performance.
  • Present campaign strategies, progress, and insights to clients and stakeholders with confidence.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to proactively integrate cutting-edge solutions.

Campaign Management

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns across multiple platforms, including Google Ads and Meta.
  • Monitor and manage campaign budgets to ensure efficient and impactful spend.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve campaign issues to consistently exceed performance goals.
  • Conduct audits and maintain the highest standard of campaign delivery.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and goals are met.
  • Provide regular updates and actionable insights to clients through clear and concise reporting.
  • Lead discussions on media strategy and performance optimization with client stakeholders.

Team Collaboration and Development

  • Promote a positive, collaborative team environment by encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in new business pitches, bringing innovative ideas to the table.
  • Support team members with guidance and feedback to maintain high-quality outputs.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Analyze campaign performance metrics to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct regular account audits to ensure compliance with best practices and client objectives.
  • Deliver detailed reports that highlight performance results, trends, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of platform campaign management experience, with 2+ years at a senior level.
  • Proven track record managing paid media campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Meta.
  • Strong background in mentoring and managing junior team members.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and technologies for performance measurement.
